The AH-64D is 74502, 3ATH(Metabaru).
It happend at about 16:30pm, 5 Feb, during the test flight after its maintenance.
The crash site is about 4km SW from JGSDF Metabaru.
The gunner was killed and the pilot is still "missing"(23:30pm, JST).

Atsugi: 2 P-1s/day for normal patrol misson on the week end.
Somtimes 1 to 4 of FA-18s visit Atsugi.

Yokota: 1-3 C-17s or C-5s for normal transport mission.

All other air bases are holiday.(Iruma, Shimofusa, Kisaradu, Tateyama, Hyakuri etc.)

Ah... the sticker means "10th anniversary of the (change to) MINDEF". Japan Defence Agancy(Bouei-chou) had changed(upgraded) to Ministry of Defence(Bouei-syou) 10 years ago. So they celebrate it.
