Re: English Electri Lightning F.3 XR713/C - Bruntingthorpe

Excellent shots! The reenactment crew really makes it nearly perfect!! (too bad the engine covers are still on though...)
Bruntingthorpe is one of the places very high on my 'wish list'.

Re: Japan October 2015 part 2: Iruma, Atsugi, Kasumigaura

Good ones. Waiting for the rest to come! Thanks! Here's some more: https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1674/24425522483_b43b72542c_o.jpg 5. I have a weak spot for the YS11, especially these old, four-bladed, red-white Flight Checker ones... https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1604/24425824963_782cde42a3_o.jp...

Japan 2015 October part 3:Hyakuri, Nyutabaru

(I hit the 'submit' button a bit too soon, so I'll just split the report in two). After a slightly disappointing Tuesday, we only had one more day (Wednesday) to spend at Hyakuri. We teamed up with 4Aviation again today - and what a day it was! Number of F-4 sorties were not what it used to be, comp...

Japan October 2015 part 2: Iruma, Atsugi, Kasumigaura

I started my report with a part 1 (about the Hyakuri Air Fest), suggesting that there would be a part 2.... That took far too long, so if this should move to the 'Thematic / Non actual forum' then please do so! After the Air Fest, my two buddies and me went to Iruma and Atsugi on the following day, ...

Re: EHAM 12-02-2016 MIL

Anyone for an ETD?
(Does the early arrival also mean a departure earlier than initially scheduled?)

https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=922157037832112&id=904609346253548 has some more info in Norwegian. Looks like they indeed will be cannibalised.... :-( No idea how you can see that they will be cannibalised while watching the photos... those Sea Kings have both less flight hours t...

Re: Japan 2015 part 1: Hyakuri Air Festival (25 October 2015

After this first day of the trip, we indeed had the feeling that we got what we came for! Later during that week, we would come back to Hyakuri. I've changed the title and removed my remark about flight activity, as that refers to the later days of the trip. Flight activity during the Air Festa was ...

Japan 2015 part 1: Hyakuri Air Festival (25 October 2015)

End of October, I visited Japan for the third time in 5 years. Main goal was to see the Phantoms at Hyakuri (and Nyuta). Last year's trip, we had a non-flying day at Hyakuri, so we were looking for revenge! Thankfully, we (me and two friends I met during last year's trip with 4Aviation) we...

Re: Mi8 at kindercamping Jan Klaassen, Braampt, NL

On their FB page, this camping had a few images of the helo in its original colours.
Looking at https://scontent-ams3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hp ... o.jpg?dl=1 it looks like a former East German AF SAR Mi8.

HelikopTerschelling (Jul/Aug 2015, civ/mil)

During my family vacation at the island of Terschelling, I had the opportunity to catch some of the helos at the local heliport. For some time to come, DHC of the RNLAF is still performing medevac duties for the islands, with both NH-90 and Cougar. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/759/20797579966_4f35...
