Belgium officially retires Alpha Jet 1B's

the last 3 aircraft, that were still flown at Cazaux, landed at Beauvechain today.
the aircraft will now be stored at EBBE and 25 aircraft are up for sale.

looks like the contract for 2 Falcon 7X is on again, exptected delivery is for March 2020.
these will replace the remaining Embraer ERJ-135/145LR's

they should hace kept SAR ops in military hands, like they do in Belgium.
or NHV will have to buy larger helicopters, like the H215 or H225 Super Puma's.

the sole Airbus A400M for the Luxembourg Armed Forces has been rolled out of the paintshop at Sevilla today.
it carries the serial CT-01 and also carries the emblem of the 15th Wing of Melsbroek AB, Belgium.

a couple of helo's have already left zeebrugges, seen 2 UH-60M's fly over here about an hour ago (30 minutes appart). heading for Chievres.

yesterday, a Morane-Saulnier MS-893 (OO-VON) crashed at Wevelgem airport while attempting to pick up a banner.
the pilot unfortunatly didnt survive the crash.

from the pictures ive seen from friends, thereare at least 3 AV-8B+'s (one on the ski-ramp is a special tail for RIAT) and one SH-3H vissible on the flightdeck.

Maybe they can offer them to Chile, aferall they will work great with the other ex-RNLAF F-16A/B they fly.
they have bought a lot of ex-Dutch equipment in the past (Bo105, F-16,...).
