Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

From Russia with love, Moscow Summer 2006

At Khodynskoe (closed airfield in Moscow), no less than 5 Mig-25 Foxbats are displayed amoung many other types at this former Aviation Museum.
Image

At the War Weaponry and Fortification Museum in Victory Park this Su-15 Flagon is one of the 'newer' types that is displayed side by side with some WWII stuff.
Image

At the Armed Forces Museum is this early Mi-21 Fishbed diplayed together with a number of other types.
Image

At Monino this old school Tu-16 Backfire can be found amoung many many other types from the Soviet aviation history.
Image

At VDNKh (Economic Achievement Park/All-Russia Exhibition Centre) This Yak-42 Clobber can be found on display between great examples of Soviet architecture

Leuk topic weer, met leuke plaatjes. Wat mij betreft mag in dit topic het W&R walhalla van Europa niet ontbreken, dus hier is Albanië!

Hi,

Just some minor remarks;
canberra wrote:At Khodynskoe (closed airfield in Moscow)
Actual name of the airfield is Khodinka. The museum itself is also closed as far as I am aware. I think they went bankrupt a couple of years ago - or just don't have the money to relocate the collection as they have to make room for the new apartment buildings being constructed here.

Tu-22M-0, not a Tu-16 Badger.

Nice collection anyway!

Hans

Thanks, area is named Khodynskoe Pole or Khodynka fiels. According wikipedia name was indeed Khodynka Airfield. And yes museum is closed, the aircraft are stored on a very small area with fences around (that was the situation in August at least). Was why I called it former Aviation Museum

Indeed, as I wrote, old School backfire, why on earth I put Tu-16 only God will ever know

Anyway back to topic with a few from my time in Palestine.

First a few from Hatzerim - IDF/AF Museum.

This F-15A Baz (or Eagle as we know it in this part of the world) is part of the Museum collection.

No less than 12 x A-4 Ayit (or Skyhawks) in 'storage' near the Museum

One of 20+ F-4 Kurnas (or Phantoms) in 'storage' near the Museum

For the last one we cross the river and goes to Jordan.

Hawker Hunter at the Martyr's Memorial and Military Museum in Amman.

Best wishes for the holidays to all, Michael
