Nope... take off was from 09 with a very nice banking turn to Southern directions...

Maybe we now have room at East for a Hellenic 747 ? 8)

The duration of the stay of this bird at AMS just touched over 3 years; 3 years and 2 weeks to be precise...

Hi,

Pics of "her" departure from RWY09 made by my "partner in crime", Mzunguwamap can be seen on the photoforum right now!

Whow what a day, today...
Sorry that I couldn't provide you all earlier with info of "her" departure.
For me, today... the news came out of the blue ...well let's say grey
With many many thanx to my colleagues and friends, I could see todays departure... (Well, I had to break all the rules on the road  - Home
-> 36L no@#*! -> 09!!! pfff....)
Also Big Thanx to Ton Jochems, who was providing us all with the many updates! HURRAY!!!

Just when airborne, "she" was smoothly banking to the right.... whow what a sight! Memories came back for me of a 707 departure, back in 1996. Then, on the 4th of March, a Mondayafternoon, SU-PBA (ex-SU-DAC - "Plantenbak" for insiders), departed as MPS999 in same weatherconditions as today from the 01L (now 36C) with an early left turn to the west... After many years of storage at East! (Had a sticky mike upon dep.)

Well that was my story about this beautifull Three Holer CS-TMR,
enjoy the pics and greetz from this :freak:

I'll take your word for that John, all I could see from my location (MZS bldg) was that it went over the viaduct, therefore most logical would be Zwanenburg- or Polderbaan... Maybe Key was playing around

Nice pictures. I must admit I never expected the bird to leave.

Hope they sent some updates from LIS. Any problems during the ferry flight?

Hey, hey, this is a venerable Lockheed aircraft. Not some weak modern plastic plane 8)

Would I ever do such a thing? Oh OK, I guess I would... But I wasn't here! Missed that glorious moment. <sob>

The airplane arrived 15 min earlier than the expected ETD. :)

Like someone said: Hey! this a Lockheed, not a Tupperware airplane! It only needs two wings and at least one engine to fly :)

Here, taxiing to the stand after landing @ LIS:

Welcome back CSTMR (as it was calling in the Air Band)!
