Roll-Out Västerås flygmuseum 24+25 may 08

Post by Flygvapnet_Viggen »

I didn't see this one here yet so I thought I may post some info about it.

There is a flying day of the Västerås Flygmuseum, or better there are 2 days! At the 24th and 25th of May the museum arranges this open house/ airshow, know participants so far:
-Spitfire XVI
-Saab B17
-J35 Draken
-Sk28 Vampire (3x)
-J32 Lansen
-Tiger Moth
-Sk16 Harvard (3x)

More to come and info can be found at http://www.flygmuseum.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://WWW.FVPHOTO.NL/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; --- Check out my photos of this spotting season on my website!

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Looks like a nice little show, might make the trip north for it. Flights from Ireland are quite cheap.

I've 2 questions though...

1) Do you know if the Draken & Lansen will be flying

2) The runway runs almost north-south, will the public be on the north-western side or south-eastern side of the runway?

Thanks in advance,

Frank.

@Frank: Im not sure about the J35 and J32 flying, but I think they are as they have been the last years and are written in between other flying activities. And the crowd's position should be west where the museum is situated as well. But I'll back to you with the correct answers!

And as the latest info shows; update for the airshow:
JAS 39 Gripen (flying) :)

So here we are again.
Got comfirmation on flying activities, as they say:
All militairy types; Lansen, Draken and Gripen will fly on sunday :!:
Public will indeed be around the museum and south of it, so west of the runway. So photo possibilities should be okej :D .

And btw, there will be no special busses going from city centre, but you can get close enough with normal public transport if one needs to.

Have fun, and I might see you around there!
Vi ses,
Corné
