Weg in eigen land...


From this festival program a little airshow is held above the fields of Buurse
Vliegshow Buurse
Zondag 17 augustus 12.00 - 17.00 uur

Spektakel in de lucht en op de grond. Het hoogtepunt van de jaarlijkse volksfeesten Buurse wordt in 2008 ongetwijfeld de zondagmiddag. Op en rondom het feestterrein vindt een spectaculaire vliegshow plaats met historische en moderne vliegtuigen. Op dit moment is de organisatie druk bezig met de invulling van deze middag, blijf op de hoogte via onze site!
Current display list includes AN-2P, B-25, Fokker Four Formation, Seagull formation.

AH-64 isn't on the list anymore, so I think this one is cancelled. And I think the mentoined Hughes 500 will be a 269 (that was the same thing at Volkel in the clouds this year).

unfortunately we have the sun in front. The south side (grass) will be closed. http://volksfeesten.buurse.nl/filesusr/ ... meente.pdf The airshow start at 12:00LT !!

According to the press release all aircraft will depart from Stadtlohn in nearby Germany. Seems worthwile to go to this airfield to photograph the aircraft taking off etc.
More info on Stadtlohn movements?

I think you're right about that Mishu. But I doubt if the choppers will visit Stadtlohn too.

YOU DON'T NEED WHITE LENSES IF YOU GOT A WHITE CAMERA.

I suppose because there isn't always staff or tower personnel at EHTW.

One chopper wil visit Stadtlohn to travel some persons but all the other choppers (5-6) will arrive between 09:30-11:45 at the helispot in Buurse.

Just got back, had a good time there. Hopefully a new airshow over there next year. Advice for next year, get some F-16s to do a pass, not that the event wasn't well visited, but to get even more spectators.

Now for the tedious job of sorting photos, unfortunately quite some silhouet shots, cause of the sun in the front.

Oh if anyone has a program book from the show for me, one of my pictures was published in it, forgot to get one on my way out. If anyone would be so kind :)

With no other options left I enjoyed my first airshow between the corn-fields with a flightline prepared by Blokker garden chairs.

Compliments to the organizers who had to deal with some cancellations and the problems of a remote takeoff/landing strip!
