Dumped USAF T-33 T-birds in Texas

Dumped USAF T-33 T-birds in Texas

Anyone for the number of this T-33? We saw it dumped near the interstate 81, from Fort Worth to Bowie at cordinates 33°24'49.46"N 97°44'31.53"W.

There were at least two, maybe three more, as well as an H-3. There was no-one there, so we couldn't ask, and the hyper-active local snake population -as well as the fact that it was private property and knowing the trigger-happy Texans I didn't want to become a wreck or relic myself- prevented us from checking this out.....

(53-5346) fuselage, no tail (also reported as 52-9658, based on c/n plate)
(57-0643) fuselage, no tail
(58-0497) dismantled
and the 64-14228 GCH-3E

Only problem, as I can't find pics on the internet... which one is which... :lol: one is supposed to be ex-instructional airframe, another one ex preserved at Keesler.....

0463 is ex ADWC, that's all that is mentioned about origins

Once again, thnx for the effort!
Did some surfing, couldn't find any pics.. The one near the gate was the only one sporting the stripes around the fuselage, maybe someone can identify this airframe by the badge which I think says "weapons wing". I'm not at all familiar with USAF badges, so maybe someone can help?

That's the 325th Fighter Weapons Wing patch. Thee unit who flew with the T-33 within this wing was the 95th FITS/TFTS...

Thnx Holloman, another bit of information that maybe will help solve this puzzle....
And maybe the blue/white/red stripes mark an AFOUA decoration?

Also found out that 53-5346 was preserved at Reese AFB, TX marked as "29658", but this plane was removed after the closure of Reese AFB.

I was just curious if maybe by now some more spotters have visited this site, and whether they've been able to find out which of the serials mentioned in mazzel's repies belongs to to the T-bird nearest to the fence (picture 1)...

According to my database the 53-5346 is ex 325FWW. I saw all 3 of them in feb 2005 but did not read anything myself, the 346 was lying in the same position then. A friend of my got the info....
