CIV vs MIL vs Gvmt...up to you

Post by Navy Lynx »

Isn't it better to change this "subject" in EHAM 09-04-2009 MIL
Because this regi and roundels looks more a MIL one.
And she/he in the Scamble Database under the FAF

Looked military to me as it had a roundel, thanks for the "mil" highlight of the day.

The roundel I can understand, but what is so mil about the registration? Seems to me that it's 'just' a standard civil registration.

But if you think mil-spotters are interested in this movement, no-one will stop you from copying such a message to a new mil-topic.

If I'm not mistaking de 'Kustwacht' (Coastguard) is a part of the MoD, so yes.

I would turn it the other way around: Is it possible for a civilian to book a flight on a particular aircraft: if yes, Civil, if not, MIL.

:D :D :D Funny discussion!

Recently I found that the Coastguard Dorniers are officially in the registers as "Commandant der Luchtstrijdkrachten" so that would be mil then?

If I can book a flight hmmmm tried to book a flight with Samsung (HL7748) yesterday and failed, so Mil?

:) LOL

I read an article in "Onze Luchtmacht" and even there I couldn't find the answer, they are civil registered and certified , but operated by the military under partly civil and partly military rules and regulations afaik... :-)

exactly .... this has been a discussion since the wright brothers took a general for a flight...

(For instance, I think the Securité Civile is very military...)

It would be the same story for those NW 742 who fly military chatters.

I don't really see why you need to specify Civ/Milv for phototopics. If it's allright you know by the movements subforum if there has been Mil movement on a Civil airport. Then you can look for them at that particulary day phototopic. Otherwise it is getting way to much scatterred arround. Just one day, one airport topics.
