Nice picture of that MA ANG A-10 Roel. Here another 3 of the same unit landing at Ramstein AB, Germany sometime in the mid 90s.

Hans,
I'm thinking that Ramstein shot would be June, 1993.

Here's the same unit, from a few years earlier at home plate

I should rescan this one, the original neg is much better.

I'm not an expert on the A-10, although I love the plane, so can anyone of you guys tell me what that T-shaped antenna on top of the fuselage of 647/SP (picture top of this page) is? Is it retractable, does it tell an OA-10 from a A-10?

A basevisit just for the three of you? I'm a member of a spotting group which claims spang is just denying requests or answers with a 'no'. So for just the three of you are allowed to enter the base but a group of 10, 15 people are not allowed? Somehow this doesn't seem so logical, although I've seen more pictures from basevisits. So I'm not sure what -or who...- to believe.

Maybe I am just lucky.
Two years ago I had a basevisit, with just the two of us at the 81st...
