Is there a volunteer who is willing to yet again write the story of the Phantom that could be provided to the MLM "free of charge" but which got refused...

Hey! We need also a P-3C Orion! We have a Brequet and a Neptune..... so we are also missing an important one in the MLD-line. Oh, and a Lynx...also nice to add to the museum.
And what about an Fokker 50 AND 60! Also history ;)

:agree: Maybe as a modder eter (sorry, read that one somewhere else and I liked it too much not to use it, if it's old: sorry) you can put F-4 and phantom in the censor for this topic only?

I think they got a few retired SH-14 Lynx helos in store at De Kooy currently. I'm not aware of the purpose they have, but can imagine it might not be a to big problem to get hands on one. If I'm not mistaken there is/was also (crash landed) Lynx at the Domeinen in Soeterberg for some years.

Perhaps when we ask the Germans we might get an Atlantique; Fokker 60 would be possible if WOE runs out of space

Maybe it is just me, but I am really surprised to see everybody asking for boring planes that have flown around for years in the Netherlands (F60, Orion, Lynx), but nobody seems interested in the fact that the MLM is getting a T-37! Not many of those have ever been to the Netherlands! Can we just be a little happy with that, please?

You rre right Erwin, this topic is transforming more and more in a Praethuys/Tattle Loung topic. Be happy with the USA T-37, as I assume only some Portuguese were ever in the Netherlands in the past.

Maybe I am wrong, but I didn't read that people are unhappy about the T37? I only read about additional wishes for missing gaps...nothing wrong with that...

I'm really pleased with the Tweet! And now, get the ENJJPT training line-up complete and arrange a T-38 as well...

The fact that the T37 is comming is great and a big :thumb: for the MLM (however as long as he isn't @ the MLM all options remain open) and its human to look for other options/additions (as seen in other topics)

In februari or March 2010 the F-27 Friendship, the C47 Dakota and the Neptune will be restored to a better condition. Sheet metal becomes improved and they will be painted again. I can tell you this information because there is a (small) change I have to attend this operation. After this work, I think they will be delivered on the former airbase Soesterberg for the new museum, that will open in 2011.

I also hope that the "32TFS" fighters will be restored to a better condition, because it's very sad to see them now in this bad condition!

I think it will become a great museum! And I'm very happy with the new T-37. But it would be nice as we also get some aircrafts of the Dutch Marine like the P-3C Orion and a Lynx. That would be a great addition to the museum!

edit: the "SAR" Alouette III has been transported to the airbase last september!
