When I give someone a present and that person starts telling what else he wants.... I take that as a hint that he doesn´t like what he has just been given.
Nobody said specifically that they did not like the Tweet, but most started immediately about what else is missing, without spilling another word on the Tweet. Apparantly it is not interesting enough....

I have no business in this discussion, but if you will allow, perhaps the T-37 Tweet could occupy a category of its own at the museum: "Top Kerosene to decibel converter", as they were once known here in the States.

Cessna T-37B 66-7993 80th FTW taken at Nellis AFB, NV November 2006. The last operational Tweet to my lens will see. Does anyone know what squadron are the red-striped "Banshees" in this photo, please?

I think they will be delivered on the former airbase Soesterberg for the new museum, that will open in 2011.
The museum on the former airbase is scheduled to open in 2013! (same year as 100th anniversary of the Klu)

yes you're right! I can't wait for the new museum I think it becomes a great museum in the former hangars! I think it's the right way to keep the history of the airfield alive...

The Bansheesare the 89th Flying Training Squadron...

And as a side note, I would like the T-37 to be all white with the ENJJPT logo on the tail, just like they used to fly for 20+ years... They've only flown in the blue/white and EN code for what, 6 years maybe?

The Tweety will come to Soesterberg through Ramstein.

Also a Phantom from Davis-Monthan has been pledged by the USAF ("toegezegd").

A stored singleseat plus a stored twoseat Starfighter will be transferred to the USA.

This was stated publicly during today's "Vriendendag" of the Military Aviation Museum. Sorry, no serials known at this time... :oops:

The MLM was busy for years to get a F-4 and some other planes. It's not a problem to get a phantom, the costs are a bigger problem. At this moment, there is a deal to receive two planes (F-4 and T-37).

Two Starfighters are ready for transport to the USA. I will have a look for the numbers this monday.
