Ian,
while my wife was shopping @ Kaufland, i was waiting outsite to watch the 'meanwhile' action @ Ramstein :D
the C-17 you saw departing was 97-0045 437AW.
i noticed a C-130 arriving from opposite direction as the other traffic, it was the French C-130H 5227/61-PL
i also saw later on the platform a C-40, C-26 and a couple of C-21's, UH-60's flying around.

greetings,
marco

30603 was not seen on base that day. Maybe you saw 30602??
Are you 100% about your 01 C-17A SAC?? How late did you saw that one??
38036 KC-135 must be 38026
60419 C-130H must be 60418
C-130H Adla was 5227/61-PL
C-26 was 900531
Bo105 was 86+84
UH-1D there were 2 72+49 and 73+28

Hope it helps.

Cheers,
Eric

Eric/Marco many thanks for the info.

You are right the C-17 was 30602 not 30603. A typo in my online report!

Yes 100% sure about C-17 01. This was already in when we arrived about 12.30 and hadn't moved by the time we left at 19.00. As you look at the base from the hill it was on the far left.

I assume the C40 was the based one. It was all white and sitting in itsusual place.

Hi Marco,

07 landed mid/late afternoon and that was it until four went out between 6 and 7. We'd already read them off by then so didn't really pay attention to the serials. Sorry!!

Rgds Ian
