The only way to keep EHSB alive is the virtual way
Yep, I agree...
And I hope this fourth release of NL2000, which will be suitable for Flight Simulator FSX too, will be available soon!
Hope they will do the Historical Flight site at Gilze-Rijen Airbase too in this scenery...

Grtz.

Wow the new version of NL2000 looks great! Can't wait to fly from Soesterberg with this great scenery! Cool that the hill is added in the scenery ;) The field looks very real, even as the runways, taxitracks and off course the Zulu hangar. Great stuff in my opinion! :D

I agree. And the guys of NL2000 kept the Wolfhound alive too. They made a great movie for the homepage of my Wolfhounds related website. Check it out maybe you'll like it. http://www.slobberinwolfhounds.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Heard that the Dutch department of Defense put out work to public tender to demolish several buildings and shelters at the former Camp New Amsterdam. The shelters are the A409, A410 and A413. The buildings are A19, A70, A156 and A143. The shelters are all located on the outskirts (baseball field side) of the TABVEE area. Building A19 is former operations. Does anyone has any info about the demolition?

Sad to see, why they just demolish some random buildings/shelters?
I don't see the point for doing this randomly.

You actually thing they selected these buildings randomly..? Demolishing costs money and you don't randomly spend money (although some ignorant people would say the government does, but let's not start a discussion).

Off course it costs money but why they do tear down 3 specific shelters and keep the rest intact.
If it's a case they don't have the money for it why make some costs to demolish just 3 shelters?
Or do they have plans to tear down the rest of the shelters another time?

Are there people who has pictures from the period the taxitrack in "the far east" was in use??
this one was taken at the Van Weerden Poelmanweg where the aircraft crosses the road. After the operational aircraft left the Far East the area was used for engine runs.

I love this picture! There are not a lot of pictures like these, so if there are other people with pictures of the far east, it would be very nice if you want to share them!
Thanks Peter!

Remember, this part of the old airbase is still in use by the Dutch MoD. So they might have plans to erect new structures there as these builidings are quite old. We probably don't know all the details if they are public at all.
