Post by rogierottens »

in october I travelled with a mate to Arizon for a week, here some results from Tucson IAP. That morning the first two Dutch vipers arrived from Springfield.

Photo number 2 is cool! Did you take these pics from a public area?

Nice pics! I was there last year also and all pictures are taken from a public area near the tower. BUT first 4 pictures are ok as there is no military infrastructure in the background. These pictures are taken at the main runway and taxitrack alongside this runway. Last 4 pictures are NOT allowed as you point your equipment towards the military infrastructure and you can get in trouble with this and also may ruin it for other spotters in the near future? This was the situation last year as had been told to me by locals, don't know if this has changed now by looking at your pictures?

Hi Rogier,

Could you confirm these pictures were all taken in October 2010 unless otherwise stated? I see 84-1258 and 84-1375 on your pictures, but these two also appear on the AMARG inventory list (arriving 30 June 2010 and 16 July 2010 respectively) per http://www.amarc.info.

Do you have a full log of your trip?

Was at AMARG on October 30 and did already find 84-1375 inducted in the yard fully preserved. Therefore the records that at least 1375 arrived at AMARG on 10-7-2010 is very likely. Did not see 84-1258 that day.

Hi,

I was there yesterday the whole day and today one hour and no problems. Was checked out two times, but after explaining what I did, it was no problem at all and the first guy even explained where I could stand the best for take-off shots.....
