F-106B Delta Dart of the 101st FIS/102d FIW Massachusetts ANG at Home base Otis ANGB, MA., 15 May 1976.

KC-135A 56-3532 of the 509th BW at Pease AFB, NH 20 August 1972. (At the time I believe both the 34 ARS and 509 ARS were assigned to this wing).

Nice ones Rob!
It clearly shows that whatever the weather, pull your camera and shoot. Kodachrome purists would have let this one pass and would propably have regretted such an act to this day.

Very nice indeed, Rob. It's true that not every event will provide Kodachrome skies, and for me that's where I would switch to B&W. Or, to look at it another way, not every picture needs to be perfect to provide viewing enjoyment.

Is that a Nike missile on the right hand margin of the Mirage image?

Tom, this is indeed a Nike missile, but I had to crop this slidescan to 3:2 so the right side fell off.

Great shots here.
Are there any F-111 frames left in flyable conditions or perhaps are there any groups busy with keeping an F-111 in the sky that anybody knows of?

Speaking for myself, Mart, I wish we had more flyable jet warbirds here in the States. But reality sets in, and I surely would not sign my name to a document allowing any group or persons to keep an F-111 in flyable condition.

Hello Rob,

Nice, to see the revised pictures of the past, special the airbase Soesterberg. Many times in the past I was there, by bicycle 20 km.
Greetings

Keeping an F-86 (a pretty straightforward jet) in flyable condition is already difficult, so I wouldn't hold my breath in waiting for anyone to start flying a twin-engined, variable geometry jet with an escape capsule i.s.o. a bangseat... :ontopic: :please!:
