Can I also join the fun?
The show at La Ferté-Alais was indeed a great event where basically the entire history of aviation passes by.
Here are some of my impressions from Saturday.
A 1938 Stinson Reliant
Two Mirage 2000Ns from Nancy decided to give the field a wakeup call before the actual show had started. Clearly, I was not awake yet. I was just enjoying a sandwich and my camera was in my bag with completely incorrect setting. So this is the best I could eventually make out of it on the computer
Naturally the Gendarmerie was also there to ensure that traffic was running smooth....
The only real Junkers 52 present
This Casa 352L is pretending to be a German Junckers 52.
Opening of the show with 2 Super Etendards and a Paris
After the Paris Demo, the 2 Super Etendards gave a kick-ass display.
Back to the early days of aviation with the Morane Saulnier MS.138
One of the many Focke-Wulf Fw.44J Stieglitz'
Airbus also came to show the A.400M. Not very impressive though, it left after two low-passes over the field.
Der Dreidecker
Sopwith Camel
This is what dogfights looked like in the 1st World War.
Bücker Jungmeister
Another Focke-Wulf Stieglitz
Curtiss H75-C1
Alte Tante Ju
The mother of all STOL aircraft, the Fieseler Storch. I think it would make a Harrier pilot feel jealous.
The Harvard that was heavily modified to look like a Japanese Zero.
A P-40 Warhawk with the smoke of one of the attacks in the background. Minor detail was that these attacks also set the grass on fire and kept the Pompiers quite entertained
Red Bull sent the beautiful silver P-38.
Nooky Booky IV is a P-51D
The Equipe de Voltige of the Armée de l'Air showed her Extra 300.
Back to the roots with a Bleriot XI2 replica.
The famous Hawker Fury FB.10.
De Belgische Rode Duivels were there as well. I personally thought that their show was rather dull and far away.
Breitling Wingwalkers
The beautifully restored Skyraider, including armament and a nice droptank.
Flamant formation
The Skyraiders come in for attack.
EC 7 decided to use her Tiger Rafale for the show.
