request bastille day flypast 14th july 2013
im thinking of attending this and would like to know if anyone is attending with a camera and will be doing a log of the proceedings. thanks to anyone who can help
Normally a few helicopters land in Paris, but can somebody tell me where this is?
What's a good spot to take good pictures from the flypast?

They will land at the Esplanade des Invalides. This is also the best spot to take pictures of the flypast itself.
That's where I've been for the past 3 years.
Thanks for the information. Does anybody know from which base(s) the aircraft will operate from during rehearsal and "show day"? All from their hombases or "concentrated" on the airbases "around" Paris? (Creil for example?)

In the past few years they have used Chateudun and Evreux.
Usually the transports fly from their own base.
Later in the day there are also parajumps above the city, for this there are normally 2 Pumas at Paris Heliport - Issy-les-Moulineaux.

Don't come by car. The vast majority of the city center will be closed to traffic. So better to parc close to the Boulevard Peripherique and continue by public transport.
