Saturday "SOLD OUT" ? What does this mean ??

Means there's no way that you're going to get in, unless you already have a ticket for the Saturday or buy a "Friends of RIAT" package...

Since '09 there was one day that didn't sell out.

ADVISE NEEDED:

I've been attending Riat's since 1980's (yep, those were the days my friends 8 ) and never had any knowledge about this sold out thing... :-(
But than my next question: Anybody a good alternative outside the field? I'm interested in the type of shots you make during the show ( bankingshots / turns etc)

Help much appreciated!
(specially because a rented for this year a expensive Canon 500mm 4.0 ) :P

There are always loads of people watching from the hills to the north of the field; if I remember correctly, Peter "airshow action" Steehouwer (and others) uploaded some fine shots taken from there in the photoposts on RIAT 2013 on this website and his own. Check them out.

But you have to have a free ticket for an under 16 years person. And those are.... sold out.

No,IIRC it cancelled.

It looks like this year's example (97-3603) is on the way.

Per NOTAMN G0361/14 created 11.02Z/09 July airspace blocked from FL250 to FL270 60N/030W to 60N-020W from 16.13Z to 19.39Z for the 10th.

This could be for the F-35s.

Time will tell..............

Japanese tanker indeed over Alaska and Canada. Pretty much the one for RIAT. Thanks, too bad it doesn't cross Europe!

Today's flight for this airplane was at a planned FL470.

The airspace block reserved for tomorrow is from FL250 to FL270 at 30 west to 20 west. So maybe way too low for the WB-57F.

AFAIK, the grounding order has not been lifted for the F-35s,so this reservation(if indeed for the F-35s) was probably made on a speculative basis.
