Cannon AFB Airshow 2016

In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Cannon AFB Airshow 2016

A couple of years ago Cannon AFB was transferred from the Air Combat Command to the Air Force Special Operations Command.
In 2016 for the first time an airshow was held since this transition, sadly the flying part was under backlit conditions.
Personal highlight was a formation flight of three Gunships: AC-130W, AC-130U and AC-130W and the CV-22B demonstration
For the first time ever a display was flown with a MQ-9A reaper

How much impressive, I think, the F-4 and A-10 are, and how much I like them, they are not coming close to the F-111. This was a real beast. a beautiful one that is.
