We saw the PdeF when we were round the back of the airfield. There was a formation of 9 plus a spare. The usual 10?

I have seen and can vouch for 139 as clear as a bell on a photo.

Tyro, are we talking friday? There were 8 PdF aircraft in the formation with the three Tigers, with one more PdF jet alongside (for pictures, presumably); so, no more than 9 I think

It's all getting a bit complicated.

On Thursday it was a totally different display, not the usual "group routine" which was performed on Friday by just 8 a/c, although as stated above, there may have been a 9th, camera ship. I think these were 1,3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9 so the camera ship may have been another 5.

Thursday they did not (from memory) perform in formation, it was all airfield attacks and such-like (and that is where my nos are from).

They're only Alfa Jets, nothing to see here, move along!

On thursday, it was the individual sections practising section set-ups and the formation leader practising formation set-ups (marking the visual clues).

Although you're basically right about them being only Alpha Jets, everybody is still curious WHICH Alpha Jets.  Especially as they are moving between units (and between stickers within the PdF  ). For instance, the unmarked 162/8-RJ of EE03.008 USED to be a PdF-bird (F-TERJ).

Have a bit of info about Patrouille de France Alpha Jets on thursday. I could read the following from photo's. Number 6 was the F-TELP with nosewheelnumber 129. Number 7 was the F-UGFF, but I couldn't read the nosewheeldoornumber. Number 9 was the F-TELC with nosewheeldoornumber 87. All 100 procent sure. Also could read 2 further nosewheeldoornumbers : 85 and 127.

I was talking about Friday. The main photo I have seen is for Friday. It has eight aircraft in it doing a oppostion pass of 4 aircraft in each direction. The first four a/c are very clear and Ian gave me the other two off a separate photo. On their first pass over the airfield we were round the back and I was sure they were in a diamond nine with the spare aircraft off to the west as a photo ship. I am willing to accept that the main formation was only eight but at the time it certainly looked like 9. Only alphas? I needed three! Slack I know.

Hi all,
A few bits and pieces:

-Can anyone confirm Rafale 131/30-GJ alse being present at the spottersday AM?
-Can anyone shed a light on Rafale 140 which was photoproof by Pil Adkin in front of the hangar next to the portugese: at what time was it towed in/seen last?
-Can anyone confirm Rafale 125 as present? (see above) and if so: where?

Thanks in advance!

no for the 125
yes for the 114
No, what I meant (and what I stated a few posts earlier) is that 125 was NOT THERE AT ALL in my opinion.

With regard to the exercise. According Indian news paper it is called Garuda VI and will take place in the first 2 weeks of July on a French Airbase. Exercise starts on 1 July. Indian AF aircraft mentioned in article is 10 SU-30, 1 Il-76 AWACS and 1 Il-78 Tanker. They will mainly fly against Rafale fighters.

I hope everybody is still curious, I have the following from my pictures:
E44 / 1
E139 / 3
E20 / 4
E68 / 5 / F-TEMO (serial taken from F-TEMO)
E127 / 5
E129 / 6 / F-TELP
E85 / 7 / F-UGFF
E87 / 9 (Code allocated via method of elimination - I got serial "87", but no code for it and have code "9" in a formation)
The nineth one which was flying next to the formation with the Tigers and was in the "old" PdF colours:
E73 / - / F-TENE (serial taken from F-TENE at Biarritz airport at 20:00 the same day). The other eight were there too but escaped further identification as the Alpha Jets concealed each other.

I hope that helps a bit.
