Funny to see that it are 3 Air India's and one SQ and this one is A/W at the moment

You are right, they are the cn's according to various sources.
They are all exSQ. Guggenheim has leased 3 of them to AI until it's time for conversion to SF. The latest info I have on the fourth (24061) is from cactuswings.com: "Ex-Singapore B747-400 N733BA [24061], previously stored at Marana, departed 08Dec-2005 to San Antonio for pre-delivery to an unknown customer." So it is possible that it will be leased out as pax plane as well, but since MP is expecting its first plane in October, my guess is that it is in conversion now (just a guess!).

Sorry to say but all 744 pax-to-freighter conversions are Boeing Cenverted Freighters as it is Boeing that has done the engineering for the conversion and has requested type certification for the 'new' type. That the actual modification is done by Bedek or TAECO (http://www.boeing.com/commercial/news/2 ... 9b_nr.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) or some other Boeing-approved modification facility does not matter.
I was of the understanding that only the conversions done by a Boeing approved facility were considered to be BCF's. And at the moment, TAECO is the only Boeing approved location for BCF conversions as noted at the bottom ofthis article.
The conversions by Bedek are of there own design, and subject to a separate STC, so cannot be considered to be BCF's.

Regards,
Yorden
Yorden, indeed you are correct when you say Bedek has their own conversion program (http://www.pprune.org/forums/showthread ... nextoldest" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). I was under the mistaken impression IAI/Bedek was a Boeing approved facility since they also did the 757SF program "together".

Funny though that the Boeing programme is further in it's development even though it started later than Bedek's.

Brgds MP744SF (but basically since the renaming of the programme by Boeing this should be MP744BCF I guess... )

Although this is good input, expected movements should be posted in the "daily" topic for AMS airport, so in this case in the topic for Dec. 23rd.

Bye, CU.

Hiya,

I added the current Regional fleet to this thread, but was wondering if you agree with this step i took.

So question to the readers: Do we keep them in as "on order" or do we delete them from this thread ?

Bye, Chris.

Personally, I think we should keep them in the list. It isn't definate as yet, but it is a rumor that has come from a number of sources, so until we hear otherwise, it's reasonable to assume that the aircraft will be delivered in the future.

Is only a lease for the summer period because only 1 MD11 will be converted for pax this year.
