Vraagje; vliegt de J-641 nog (op Volkel?) en ik las in het blad OL dat er dit jaar weer 5 toestellen buiten dienst worden gesteld.
Enig idee welke toestellen dit zijn of gaan worden?

And another question; is there a chance that the "AZ" vipers will come to Holland in the future?

J-641 is currently at Woensdrecht for maintenance.
J-616 will be the first to be Withdrawn from use

From what I have heard (not officially), the AZ Vipers will not return to the Netherlands once they are withdrawn from service (scheduled for 2022).
Seen flying from Tucson on February 25, 2020 were: J-004, -010, -064, -209 and -210 (J-004, -064 and -210 are 2020 updates for the list). Also seen but not flying were J-067 and J-369.

Small update:
J-616 ferried from Leeuwarden to Volkel as PAIN2 with 3 fuel tanks on 11-03-2020. (Thanks Rob L., facebook sgvolkel)
It will fly their final hours at Volkel this year.
J-616 will not be the first to retire if I'm right.

I have heard (so no confirmation on it), that AZ vipers will not come back to the Netherlands and over time will be retiring in the US.

Been inactive for a long time, but they are now restoring it at LCW Woensdrecht, so will be flying sometime in the future again

Mij bereikte het droevige nieuws dat ook de J-002 buiten dienst is en dat de J-624 waarschijnlijk deze week zijn laatste vlucht maakt

J-009 flew from Leeuwarden to Volkel as SLAMMER01 today, not sure which squadron it will be flying for.
J-624 should have made it's final flight this week

002 nu al? Die was toch pas voor 2023 gepland?
