On flugzeugforum it is indicated the tankers arrive on Sunday and pickup the F16s on Monday some where halfway.
And Indictation is the the F16 arrive between 15.00 and 16.00hours (local time?)
Hi, thanks for the info. Where on Flugzeugforum did you see this? I looked at Nórvenich and Köln topics, but didn't see it there?
I see AK01 answered your question. Exactly my answer.

Must say it's strange to deploy two B707's to Germany on Sunday, and let them collect the F16's on Monday flying back half across Europe again. During last year's excercise to Waddington they all flew out of Israel, and several Tankers returned over Europe after having topped off the Eagles, in the end only one 707 landed in Waddington i believe. But if Herby says so it will be correct as usual.

Thx Herby, I assume that will also be applicable for the L495?

Maybe best to park your car in Rath or Wissersheim and walk/cycle the 3 km to the runway 25 approach?
Yes, the roads in rwy 25 approach and north of L495 will be totally closed. The best will be to park the cars in all (not only one!) of the villages around and take a taxi with two or three persons. Perhaps the taxi can drive to the approach of 07 ot 25 as far as possible.

Bring your bikes on the back of the car and do the last miles by bike.

Have to agree on this. Would make much more sense if those F-16's also arrived on Sunday.

Really? The 707 will also bring technicans and equipment for the deployment on Sunday. Then they will be filled up with fuel and used as tankers on 17.08. The F-16I maximum (unrefuelled) range is more than 4.000 km, excact the range from Israel to Nörvenich. So they can make it with one air/air refuelling on the last 1.000 km or so.

Herby, like i said. You have inside info which is always correct. And i highly appreciate that you share it( one of the few sources for Germany). It just differs from previous deployments to the UK.
Do you happen to know if both 707's will stay at Cologne for the whole two weeks, or just one?

German artikel (link in flugzeugforum link) says high delegation of German and Israelis (minister , ambassador and generals) fly from Norvenich to Lechfeld and back on Tuesday afternoon. Probably with Global (or A319).
Flypast will be with (mixed ) 4 ship is somewhere else mentioned.

The tankers can very well be used during MAGDAY. The multinational air group is based on tanker use since all participants fly from home. Also in the operational phase of the MAG this can be expeted.

Would be a waste if your 6 Falcons are in the air and they cannot be refueled: so bring a spare...

A Notam has been posted for Nörvenich on Monday
A) ETNN
B) 20/08/17 13:00 C) 20/08/17 13:45
E) NO TAKEOFF, NO LANDING, NO PRACT APCH EXCEPT SCHEDULED TRAFFIC.

Maybe this is relevant, maybe it isn’t.
