New River airshow is not a walk in the park. The main ramp is surrounded by hangars roughly in an L shape. The corner most distant from the hangars is used for the static and flightline leaving a vast slab of asphalt between you and the based aircraft that were mostly hangared. The local security forces do their utmost to keep spotters away from these hangars. Military police on mountain bikes, NCIS and FBI in plain clothes, mobile guard towers near the hangars; no asset or effort was spared. Merely looking at the hangars was deemed a security threat. Officially, none of the hangars were accessible, all were off limits.

Nonetheless, over the two days a couple of lucky ones managed to reach some of these hangars. Also, a report of a visit on Friday published in MAR, provided additional info and therefore the log is far more substantial than a casual visitor would be able to see.
