Base Aérea Boiso Lanza in Montevideo (Uruguay)

Air Parade Montevideo

17 March 2014

On 17 March, the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU) held its annual air parade over the FAU-Headquarters at Base Aérea Boiso
Lanza in Montevideo. As Boiso Lanza has only a short grass strip, most aircraft took off from Montevideo-Carrasco,
except for four CeU206Hs flying from their home base Angel S. Adami (Melilla) and four F260EUs from the military aviation
school at General Artigas (Pando), both near Montevideo as well. The parade occurred around noon and a total
of 32 aircraft participated. After the event, the aircraft from Durazno returned directly to their home base. Small as it is,
the FAU uses its own type designation system.
