Will visit Rostock in a couple weeks. Is it possible to see the based helo from outside? On googlemaps it looks difficult.
Does someone have info were to spot at this place?

Never been there, but to me it looks like the helicopter base is within a fenced off navy base. So not much to see I presume

No it's not. It's right between the beach and marina, you can park nearby: Hubschrauberlandeplatz Hohe Düne
Rome has Bufalotta, Arizona has alotta BUFF..

The heli landing spot (SAR det) is inside the Marine base. The flying for Hansesail is outside of course.

That’s a different one. The Sea King is based at the naval base itself
