1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
A while ago it was announced that the 1st ACB (based at Ft. Cavazos, formerly known as Ft. Hood) will be deployed to Europe to relief the deployed 1st CAB (based at Ft. Riley).
At the moment the first helicopters have arrived at the port of Beaumont, TX. Further info received is that these helicopters will be expected to arrive at Zeebrugge and staged to Koksijde by the end of this month, ultimately deploying them further east at some point. Local news have reported that around 150 helicopter movements are expected at Koksijde. This could off course be both inbound as well as outbound movements. So at least around 75 helicopters could be expected.
So far the following have been noted in/around Beaumont airport/port facilities by means of online tracking sites as well as confirmed in Zeebrugge and Koksijde (EBFN);
- A total of 5 Apaches and 28 Blackhawks were discharged in Zeebrugge from ARC Defender
- Very likely the remainder of the helicopters are on board a 2nd vessel (t.b.a. when, where it will arrive).

Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
Some minor additions, these three went to Beaumont on the 3rd of May : 14-20681 /07-20052 and 13-20637
Aditional info R20504 was a flight of 4 H60's, R20610 a flight of 3 H60's, R20379 a flight of 3 H60's, R20044 was also a flight of more then one.

Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
For the record, 1st Air Cav came to Europe in November 2021 for an Atlantic Resolve rotation, using Woensdrecht as staging point. 3-227 was not very well represented at the time.
Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
.
Sjoerd,
14-20681 is a HH-60M with MedCo cross, not a UH-60
Kind Regards.
Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
Thanks Pieter!
@Worldnis, you are correct. Do note that also several H-60's have switches units in the meantime, so lots of new frames are to be expected.
@George,
Thanks for correcting me on the 681.

Probably we have to lookout for the ARC Endurance again. That one is currently in the harbour of Beaumont, and not listed for any other routings the next 2 months.

Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
According the original ARC schedule the ARC Defender must arrive in Zeebrugge on 31 May.
Possibly this ship has helicopters on board.
There are also Notams for Koksijde for the period from 16 May up till 4 July. Most likely related to the helicopters as well.

Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
Today I noticed some movements of Black Hawks to Spangdahlem on ADSB. Probably also related?
Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
This seems very likely now! It arrived in Beaumont, TX at May-11th. Endurance finally left Corpus Christi and according to Marinetraffic is inbound Esbjerg, DK.Jan-Pieter Bergmans wrote: ↑24 May 2024, 19:15 According the original ARC schedule the ARC Defender must arrive in Zeebrugge on 31 May.

Re: 1st ACB taking over from 1st CAB (12th AB rotation Atlantic Resolve)
Those two belonged to 1-214th AVN Wiesbaden, so not related i'd say.

Zeebrugge is not mentioned in the planning any longer. Next stop seems to be Antwerp (June 3).Jan-Pieter Bergmans wrote: ↑24 May 2024, 19:15 According the original ARC schedule the ARC Defender must arrive in Zeebrugge on 31 May.
