UAL having lots of difficulties over last couple of weeks. Kind of unusual dont you think? The second time the 777 had trouble and also the 767 had some trouble with her gear. Not very nice!

HELP ! Watercannon Salute :ARKEFLY : 12TH September ????

Post by shinymac »

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what the special celebration was that took place on Wednesday 12th September at 2000hrs, as an Arkefly B767 arrived at Stand D2 at Schiphol ?

This plane was escorted to its parking stand in spectacular way by many many ground security vehicles driving in FORMATION ! with blue flashing lights ! The fire brigade played a watercannon salute to it too, and there were many people and officials with flowers, and waving to greet the pilots.

This was very interesting, and no one at the airport could tell me what the reason was for this amazing sight.

Can you ? ?

Thanks

Derek

Seems to be an internal Arke event.
Probably a captain who retired.

All info can be found in the topic about that date....

Regarding your question:
