Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Some local traffic at Melbourne-Tullamarine Airport, just before a big thunderstorm 'hit' us:
I hope you like them...

Fantastic contrast! That's what they call the 'golden hour' in photo 1...

Marvellous light.. I remember the picture I took of KLM skyteam just after a heavy rain shower in the sun.. the dark grey clouds gave such a outstanding contrast towards the glitter-silver colors of the PH-BVD

Hi Jeroen,
Great pictures! Love to see the stuff from down under!
If I make a suggestion: Play some with the space around the aircraft while post-processing. All the aircraft are now 'locked' left and right of the image. If you give the subject some more space, or even try to place it a little 'out of the center', you will see your photos can be even more exciting. Sometimes cutting the image with only a part of the aircraft may help also, it could show some more of the magnitude of an aircraft. If you browse over the photo-forum here, you will find hundreds of examples of what I mean.
I sincerely hope you can work with this.
Greets, and best wishes for 2011!
Andres

Re: Melbourne-Tullamarine Airport, Australia...
Nothing special, but just for the impression
After 'missing' a 'DY' B-1B, a few KC-135R's, a USMC C-130J, some RAAF FA-18's, Hawk 127's and C-17A due to heat haze and ugly harsh light finally my first military visitor on the sensor:
cheers Jeroen
