Hello
I recently signed up to the site and tried to post a thread w/photo in the Warbirds forum without luck. The admin directed me to the forum rules saying uploading photos is restricted to specific forums. Is this correct?
Pictures:
File formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG
800 pixels width
File size: 350 KB
Number of pictures / files: 6 maximum
Forums: Messages from to Scramble, Aviation Photo Forum, Aviation Photo Forum Thematic, Photography, Praethuys & Tattle Lounge
Thanks

Re: Restrictions on uploading photos
We encourage contributions with photos to be placed in the Photo topic, the warbird topic is primairely used for sharing information. Max number of photos is not known to me however rules does suggest thinking about the number of photos post in regard to variation. Hight/wide restrictions are also not known to me however it can be that the annex function holds a limitation.500AMM wrote:Hello

Re: Restrictions on uploading photos
Those specs (from this topic) apply to photos uploaded to this forum. That means image files attached to a post, which then are stored on the Scramble server, increasing the used disk space and data traffic for Scramble when viewed. That is the reason for these restrictions, although they could perhaps be re-evaluated after all these years.500AMM wrote:Pictures:

There are no restrictions data- or size-wise for linked photos AFAIK, although Scramble does have guidelines on that, simply to give the average user the best experience. Finally, there are rules for which forums to post photos in, by general demand from a majority of readers preferring photo free info topics (back then, at least...).
