Afghan Air Force MD530F helicopter crashed

An Afghan Air Force MD530F helicopter crashed after technical difficulties. The helicopter, serial 283 (c/n 0283FF), came down in the Kaparak area of Pul-e-Khumri city in northern Badakhshan (Afghanistan), around 200 km north of Kabul. Both crew did not survive the crash.

The Afghan Ministry of Defence confirmed the incident in a press statement, stating the incident occurred at around 4:30 PM on 24 September 2020. The helicopter was delivered in September 2018.
