Crash JASDF F-15DJ

On 31 January 2022 at around 17:30 hrs LT, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) lost an F-15DJ Eagle operated by the Hiko Kyodogun (Agressor Group) at Kanazawa/Komatsu.

The F-15DJ, serial 32-8083 (c/n 033) and in a Tiger striped colourscheme, crashed shortly after take-off around 5 km from the air base in the Sea of Japan. It is reported that both pilots are still missing.

The agressor unit has/had nine F-15DJ Eagles and one Kawasaki T-4 in their inventory. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
