Draken Tiger on the move

Draken International owned Dassault Mirage F1M N567EM has left its homebase Lakeland-Linder (FL). In the past days the Mirage was flown from there via Key (FL), Fort Worth-Alliance (TX) and Albuquerque Int. Sunport (NM) to Nellis AFB (NV) where it arrived on 5 February 2021.

The fighter was built as C.14-56 for the Ejército del Aire (Spanish Air Force) as a Mirage F1EE, and was initially based at Gando with the 462 Squadron). It was later upgraded to the F1M standard and then went on to serve 142 Squadron at Los Llanos.

At this squadron the Mirage received a beautiful Tiger tail scheme on the occasion of the 2009 Tiger Meet. It is a good thing that Draken International has decided to retain this special tail colours to commemorate the aircraft’s heritage!
