Emergency landing Australian Army Black Hawk

On 17 February 2021, Australian Army S-70A-9 Black Hawk, serial A25-203, made an emergency landing in a park at Watson Bay, Sydney (NSW).

The Black Hawk, operated by 6th Aviation Regiment from Luscombe-Holsworthy AAF (NSW) was damaged during an exercise over Sydney Harbour and was forced to land. As you can see on the photo, the tip of one of the rotor blades was damaged.

The news channel 7News mentioned that the Black Hawk was dropping personnel on the deck of a charter vessel when it hit some structure with its rotor blades. Video footage from the news channel can be found here.
