First of two new C295MW delivered
On 18 May 2021, the first of two new Airbus C295MW transport aircraft, serial 0481 (construction number 172), was delivered to the Vzdušné síly armády České republiky (CzAF, Czech Air Force) at Kbely.
The C295MW was already handed over at the Airbus Defense & Space facility in Sevilla (Spain) on Friday 7 May 2021. The second aircraft will get serial 0482, but the c/n is not known yet.
The two new transporters were ordered in December 2019. Next to these two aircraft, the Czech government also signed a contract for upgrading its current fleet of C295Ms, but it is not known yet when this is planned.
The C295 fleet is operated by 242. transportní a speciální letka (242.tsl/24.zDL). They (will) have the following C295s in their inventory.
