On 18 November 2025, the Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Udara (TNI-AU, Indonesian Air Force) took over two EC120B Colibri single-engine, light utility helicopters from the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL, Tentara Nasional Indonesia - Angkatan Laut).

These two airframes, HT-2202 (c/n 1270) and HT-2203 (c/n 1337), were trucked out of Juanda on 26 November destined for the Depo Pemeliharaan 90 (DEPOHAR90, Maintenance Centre 90) at Kalijati/Suryadarma.

There the aircraft will be prepared for service with the air force. The base is home to the two helicopter training squadrons of the air force, Skadron Pendidikan 105 (105th training squadron) and Skadron Udara 7 (7th air squadron) that already operate the EC120B.

Since October 2003, the navy operated three EC120B, registered NV-424 to NV-426. The two survivors were reregistered HT-2202 and HT-2203 by late 2018. These were replaced by three Bell 505 Jet Ranger X light helicoipters, of which two were delivered in December 2021 and a third in January 2023.

Since then the Colibris were no longer used while the air force's fleet of ten, out of twelve originally delivered, has been quite busy. So this was a win-win situation.
