Indonesian Army's new Bell 412EPi

The Tentara Nasional Indonesia, Angkatan Darat (TNI-AD, Indonesian Army) ordered nine Bell 412EPi on 28 December 2018.

The airframes arrived from Bell Textron Canada Ltd starting January 2019 and by November 2019 seven Bell 412s had arrived.

Early 2020 saw the type certification of the first three helicopters, a major milestone for Indonesian manufacturer PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero).

Currently, the machines are involved in a busy test flight programme. Sporting some smart two-tone primer 'colours', HX-4148 and HX-4149 (construction number 37036) were seen recently, believed to be airframes #6 and #7 of this order.

Scramble Magazine assesses that the Bell 412s will most likely go to 11 Skadron/Serbu (Skadron Udara Angkatan Darat 11 / Heli Serbu) at Semarang.
