On 4 February 2023, the Connecticut Air National Guard's 118th Airlift Squadron Flying Yankees, part of the 103rd Airlift Wing, unveiled their Centennial heritage painted Lockheed C-130H Aircraft.

The legacy Hercules with serial number 93-1456 is painted at its homebase Bradley Air National Guard Base, colocated with the International Airport near Windsor Locks (CT), to commemorate 100 years of the Flying Yankees.

The paint scheme dates back to the early 1900s. Although the 118th Airlift Squadron traces its origins to 1 September 1917, it was officially reformed on 1 November 1923, as the 118th Observation Squadron.
