"Just a nice Picture...!"

Royal Navy Wildcat is showing its new set of teeth. Late April, early May 2020, the Navy Wildcat HMA2 made its first successfull firings of the Thales "Martlet" Lightweight Multirole Missile (LMM), making the Wildcat ideal for engaging fast moving targets on land and sea.

The firings were conducted as part of the UK MoD’s Future Anti-Surface Guided Weapon (FASGW) programme and demonstrated the integration of the Martlet onto the Wildcat platform. The firings represented a major milestone for the programme and will enable this high-end capability to enter service with the Royal Navy later this year.

It is not known yet if the Wildcat HMA2 designation will change with this new role.
