On 15 July 2022, a Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk of the Armada de Mexico - Fuerza Aeronaval (Mexican Navy) came down in Los Mochis, Sinaloa state.

The cause of the accident is to be confirmed, however, fourteen out of fifteen people onboard of the Black Hawk lost their lives. Also, the serial is known: ANX-2307.

The helicopter was involved in operations in Sinaloa state,  and was related to the hunt for Mexican drug boss Rafael Caro Quintero, who was captured in the same state on 14 July, according to a navy spokesperson.

The Mexican Navy received ten Blackhawks, which are serialled ANX-2300 to ANX-2309, and are mainly operated by Escuadron Aeronaval 124. Of these, ANX-2300 was heavily damaged in an accident on 21 March 2020.
