New Gulfstream for Royal Netherlands Air Force

On 15 March 2023, the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) received its latest addition to the VIP fleet. At 13:17hrs local time the Gulfstream G650ER touched down at its homebase, Eindhoven airbase, where it will be allocated to 334 squadron.

Last year the Dutch Ministry of Defence (MoD) officially announced the purchase of a G650 as a replacement for the current Gulfstream IV, the V-11 (1009), which is already 35-years old.

The G650 is not a brand new aircraft, it is former HB-JKT (6117) of Jet Aviation. As the aircraft serial system of the KLu is linked to the construction number of the aircraft, this one has received serial V-117.

The Gulf will stay for one month at Eindhoven for training and will then fly to Basel to be equipped with a self defence system. It is expected that it will return to Eindhoven by the second half of July.
