RAF F-35B Lightning IIs on delivery

After a stop-over of four days at Gander International (Nfld. Canada), the three F-35B Lightning IIs destined for the Royal Air Force (RAF) have finally departed to RAF Marham (United Kingdom) on 30 November 2020.

The F-35Bs, serials ZM153, ZM154 and ZM155, are being "dragged" by RAF Voyager KC3 ZZ332. The trio has already departed the Lockheed Martin facility at Fort Worth NAS JRB/Carswell Field (TX) on 25 November 2020. On their way to Gander, they had to divert to Memphis because of weather conditions. The next day they flew on to Gander, where they stayed for the weekend.

The Scramble database reports that currently fifteen F-35Bs are assigned to 207/617sq at Marham. That number will now increase to eighteen operational Lightning IIs for the RAF.
