Roll-out first Ukrainian Air Force An-178
On 28 december 2021, Antonov State Enterprise, part of Ukroboronprom, rolled-out the first An-178-100P for the Ukrainian Air Force (VVS Ukraine). Seven months earlier, on 20 May, the major fuselage structure of this An-178 was officially shown to the public.
On 29 December 2020, the Ukrainian government signed the contract with the Antonov company to develop and deliver three new An-178-100P military transport aircraft.
The new transporter, construction number 007, will now start certification testing before delivery to the air force. The delivery date has not been revealed yet. During the ceremony, the major fuselage structure of the second An-178 (c/n 008) destined for the Ukrainian Air Force was also seen.
