Ukraine 30 years independence parade

On 24 August 2021, Ukraine celebrated its 30th independence anniversary with a large parade in its capital Kiev.

On this date in 1991, the Ukrainian parliament adopted the Act of Declaration of Independence of Ukraine, reestablishing the country's independence after more than 70 years of being part of the Soviet Union.

The days leading up to the parade, formations of aircraft could be seen over the city during the many rehearsals held for the event.

About fifty Ukrainian military aircraft and helicopters participated, as well as a handful aircraft from other countries, like Slovakia and Poland.

The photos were made both on the actual independence day as well as during one of the rehearsals.
