1East-side landing

Coming from Bourges, drive towards Avord on the D976. At Avord, take a left into Avord via the D71. Drive straight on, onto the D36 to pass under the approach for landing at the 24. When passing the approach lights you have a view onto the apron with the tails of the E-3Fs.

2Base view

Even from this location, preserved Xingu 073 can be seen. The road along the fence will yield an even better look.

3Pôle Aéronautique

The Pôle Aéronautique d'Avord keeps Mirage 3E 489 and Mystère 4A 47/314-TA preserved at the Rue d'Aindling. Expansion of the collection is anticipated.

Near the intersection with the D31, Mirage 3B 214/2-FR preserved in tiger colours, along the D976.

5West-side landing - photos

An access road to a crop field runs along the railway on the northern side, starting at the Chemin de Chennevière. From here, aircraft on final for runway 06 can be photographed.

6West-side landing - spotting

If you are just after the numbers, this spot is much better than the previous one: room enhough to park a car and relax, on your stretcher if you will, while watching the landings.
