The S-2F Trackers in Thai Navy use have seen two serial changes. Original they flew with last three digits of the BuNo followed by a code of 1sq. After re-organistion into wings the squadron became 101. For this particular Tracker 1104 it was ex 136435 and 104.

Version of the Bird Dog which have seen service since 1968 are O-1A, G and F models.

Thirteen U-17A and B models were to fly with Thai markings, entering service in 1974.

Three aircraft arrived in 1995 after being modified to suit the Navy’s requirements. Two were re-designated at P-3Ts when they entered service and a third was delivered as a UP-3T.

Fourteen A-7E and four TA-7Cs supplied from ex US Navy stocks started arriving in 1995. The type was operational until 2002.

Although a serial is painted on the tail of this C-47 Dakota, its real identity remains unknown.

Nine aircraft were sourced from the Spanish Navy in 1996, being delivered in 1997 on the aircraft carrier ‘RTNS Chakri Naruebe’. Two TAV-8S and seven AV-8S were to see brief service until lack of spares saw the type withdrawn from service in 2006.
