The Joint Aviation Command (JAC) is the controlling command for all UAE Army and Navy helicopters and fixed wing assets. Crews and helicopters do not carry individual Group badges and the Navy helicopters still carry UAE Navy titles.

For light transport duties, Group 22 at Sweihan AB operated 14 DHC-6s in two versions (300 and 400). In 2021 these aircraft transferred back to the UAE Air Force.
