1st A220-300 for JetBlue painted.

The first A220-300 for JetBlue has emerged from the paintshop at Airbus' plant at Mobile (AL). The plane, which has c/n 55099 and the temporary registration C-GPJH is expected to be delivered in December.

JetBlue will become the second US carrier to operate the type, following Delta Air Lines. The airline has a total of 70 A220-300s on order and will replace the 60 ERJ190s in the fleet.

Currently it is unknown which routes the aircraft will fly on, but it's expected that operations will begin from JetBlue's hub at Boston-Logan (MA).
