1st ATR72 for Air Connect

Air Connect is a new airline in Romania, which is preparing to take delivery of its first aircraft, an ATR72-600. The ATR, currently registered M-ABPU (1172) rolled-out of the paintshop at Shannon on 6 July 2022. Once delivered, it will be registered in Romania and a second ATR72-600 is to join soon.

The first aircraft will be used by the start-up to obtain its Air Operator's Certificate, which is needed to launch operations. Air Connect is planning to, initially, connect secondary cities like Arad and Oradea. A complete list of destinations hasn't been published yet by the airline, which later also hopes to fly internationally.
